Texas: A State of Hunger

Jason Edwards traveled to the United States to investigate the plight of food poverty in the world's richest country. The documentary is set in San Antonio, one of the most impoverished cities in the Deep South, and tells the story of the 4 million Texans who are living (literally) on the bread line.

The film was produced as part of my MA International Journalism degree at University College Falmouth. The documentary was partially updated in August 2011 to reflect the growing prevalence of food insecurity in Texas and the wider United States.

This movie shows visually what food insecurity in Texas looks like. Please watch and send widely! To watch, click here.
